EARTH HOUR 2009 SINGAPORE
was quite successful!
I was volunteering for WWF at the
carnival cum concert
as well as the roadshows pior the main event
about the roadshows
mainly at there slacking and only answer people questions when they asked.
make friends with the other volunteers too
the panda bear is so cute and look KE LIAN
the BLACKOUT on 28MARCH2009!
reported to esplanade park at 2.30pm...
waited for half an hour under the super duper hot sun
for the person in charge to come..
briefed and then nothing to do.
lols! gavin and I jus hang around the place..
5.30pm was given a task:
gurad the male changing room!
LOLS!
in the end it became more of a storeroom,
female are entering as well...
ok lah, cos not many performers need to change..
8.30pm, sohleng cam with her friends,
jus in time for the countdown to the black out
as we countdown,
MAYBANK facade LED lights slowly switch off from the top!
WOOTS!
SO COOL!
the atmosphere was great during the blackout!
the place we quite dark and acoustic performance was great!
at 9.30pm, lights on the building slowly came on.
END OF EVENT!
though is the end of event,
but i hope that it's the start that everyone care more abt the environment,
and start doing their effort to save mother earth!
woots!
overall enjoyed myself volunteering for WWF,
next yr gonna volunteer again!
